On the 12th of December 2024, CeRPHAAL conducted its first educational session with high school students in the town of Përmet. This activity is part of a collaborative program organized in partnership with the Municipality of Përmet and the ‘Sami Frashëri’ high school. The program aims at building capacity among young people, raising awareness about the importance of cultural heritage protection in the context of increasing tourism and the challenges posed by climate change, and foster a sense of active involvement in heritage protection.
This introductory lesson provided a general overview of the cultural heritage and historical landscape of the Upper Vjosa Valley, sparking students’ interest and encouraging further thoughtful discussion.
